Intro
Start by labeling your VR devices and controllers with stickers or pen; this sounds arbitrary but trust us, you don’t want any chaos over which controller belongs to which headset during events or a case where you need to troubleshoot a specific device.
Step 1: Prepare one headset
- Sideload the APK created by the Headjack Platform
- Connect your headset to the Wifi network with an internet connection
- Open the Operator App and connect it to the same Wifi network
- Log in with the six-digit code associated with your app.
- Select your device from the device list
- Download one or more projects
- Wait for the download to finish on both the tablet and VR device
- Hit Play
- Check Playback
- Hit Stop
- Close Both Apps
Step 2: Obtain app data from the APK
- Connect Headset Nr 1 to your computer using USB and confirm that connection in the headset
- On the computer, navigate to the following path on the headset: Android/data/com.”appname”/
- In that location copy the “files” folder to your computer. This folder contains all the downloaded app data.
Step 3: Copy app data to other Headsets.
- Sideload the APK created by the Headjack Platform on Headset Nr 2
- Connect your headset to the Wifi network with an internet connection
- Open the App but don’t download the video
- Close the App
- Connect Headset Nr 2 to your computer using USB and confirm that connection in the headset
- On the computer, navigate to the following path on the headset: Android/data/com.”appname”/
- In that location, paste the “files” folder from Step 2 and overwrite the folder.
- Repeat Step 3 for every new headset
Step 4: Connect Headsets to the Operator App
- Open the Operator App
- Tick the remember me option before you log in
- Open the Headjack app on Device Nr 1
- Rename this device to Nr 1 in the Operator App
- Repeat these steps for all headsets
